What happens when students move from solving problems to designing them? In this hands-on professional development session, educators will explore how students can use Google Slides and Google Drawings to create interactive digital escape rooms that demonstrate content knowledge, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Rather than focusing on teacher-created escape rooms as review activities, this session places students in the role of designer, researcher, storyteller, and problem creator. Participants will experience a short digital escape room, examine how Google Slides and Google Drawings can be used to create interactive environments, and then design a small escape room of their own. Teachers will leave with a practical framework for helping students transform academic content into clues, puzzles, challenges, and interactive experiences.
