Teaching high school freshmen can be an adventure. In this session, teachers of freshmen at different levels (College Prep, AP, and IB) will share some ideas about what works well in their classrooms and what pitfalls they seek to avoid. They will also provide specific prompts to lead group discussions about what works well in other classrooms so that we can all spend time learning from each other. Come prepared to do a little venting, a lot of problem solving, and be ready to share your secrets for teaching among the chaos of ninth graders. If you attended last year, we will be covering parts of the presentation that we ran out of time to explore previously!
